Yesterday was my mothers birthday. I’m so glad that I was able to be here to share it with her. While Grandma was at work Corey and Madeline made her some birthday cards. Corey made an activity card. He put a ton of balloon stickers on it and said she had to count how many of each color. Maddy’s card was just plastered with scribbles and stickers. “Moe Moe Sticker?” she kept saying.
In the evening we went to a Kelli Pickler concert and the Tuacahn theater.
My mom is the concessions manager and my dad does some occasional driving for them. It’s a great place. It is an open air amphitheter set in the red rocks of St George only five or so minutes from my parents house. Of course we had to take pictures in the Tarzan thingy.
The kids LOVED the concert. Benny was bouncing and bobbing his head to the music for the entire pre-show. He only made it through one Kelli song though. By the beginning of the second song he was passed out and slept through the rest of the show.
Maddy was dancing and singing “lalalalala”. She especially loved shouting “yea!” and clapping after every song. Corey also had a blast dancing and singing along until he got tired. Poor guy was more than ready for bed by the time we got home.
Today we are going to take a trip out to see the petroglyphs in the mountains around here. Then we are going to BBQ hamburgers for dinner. Fun times!
